Highly interesting lot of three medals reflecting the PRUSSIAN AFTERMATH OF THE NAPOLEONIC WARS: (1) Pewter medal 1814, by Pfeuffer, commemorating the entry of the Prussians into Paris, holed, otherwise very fine-extremely fine. (2) Cast-iron medal 1863, unsigned, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Battle of the Nations at Leipzig, with black-red-gold ribbon, made from artillery metal and with accompanying letter to Dr. Robert Haimann in Leipzig; nearly extremely fine. (3) Cast-iron medal 1870, unsigned, commemorating Germany's battles against France 1813-1870, with suspension loop, made from shell fragments and with enclosed receipt from J. Mohr in Strasbourg, extremely fine.
