( = page, so numbered), bound, small 8°; frontispiece as full page copper engraving, in red and black printed main title (xylography), 4 parts within a with full-page title woodcuts. The text contains 20 nice woodcut vignettes, all in exceptionally good quality printed on white rag paper (manufacture handmade paper). Original full-leather - cover, move with 4 authentic frets, cut all around gold plated with ornamental embossings. Cover to the edges rubbed and scuffed, front cover with pronounced small wormhole to the back ends, move to the hinge edges at the bottom and above about 1 - 2 cm burst, back cover with a slight Wave (ex crease), sides hardly toned margins, partly a little blotched, but overall unconsumed with sharpened edges, isolates crack repairs on d. Time on 4 sides by full text preservation, a defect at the outer margin on S. 312 II REGUM CAP 5.6. (latin remark probably a line missing, Hebrew main text intact), few and far between with hardly perceptible pencil notes and very few, slight underlinings, 4 ownership notes on endpapers in ink 1738 - 1906 and a small cancel" Bibliotheca Scholare Rostoch" (o. Johann Leusden lived 1624 - 1699 in Utrecht and war calvinistic theologian and Hebraist. From 1650 professor for Hebrew formal language at the university Utrecht, at times even headmaster. 1661 gave he along with the Jewish publisher Joseph Athias from Amsterdam the first Hebrew Bible with numbered verses out. These Bibelversion enjoyed an outstanding call and served to in that 19th century almost all bible editions as exemplary
