Rose noble (7, 55 g), 1466-1469, Edward IV, London, aversum: standing and armoured King with escutcheon and sword on ship, on the port side wall the eponymous rose of the house York, at the aftercastle a Flag with "E", in the bulwark leopards and lilies. In transcription: ED - war DI GRA REX at GL S FRAn - Dn S IB. Reverse: through Armenden indicated lily cross in the fleuron decorated octagonal pass, in the centre with rose and luz del sol, in the angles always a leopard and a crown. In transcription, beginning with one crown as coin sign: Ih D AVT train-oil SIEn S PER m EDIVm ILLORV IBAT. Spink 1950 Fried. 132, very fine to extremly fine.
