Münzen Römische Kaiserzeit. 3.670 g. Coins Roman empire, Augustus, 2 BC, denarius (3, 67 g), Lugdunum (Lyon). Aversum: laureate bust of the Augustus to the right with transcription: "CAESAR AVGVSTVS DIVI F Father PATRIAE". Reverse: : Gaius and Lucius standing, both in toga, in each case one-handed on a round shield dormant and with the others a spear holding. Centered right Simpulum and left lituus; the transcription beginning in the Exergue: "C L CAESARES AVGVSTI F cos DESIG PRINC IVVENT". The Brothers Gaius and Lucius waren from Augustus adopted and as designierte successor planned, died however already in the years 2. Respectively 4. BC RIC 207, ss.
